Giles Gilbert Scott
English
Giles Gilbert Scott was an English architect notable for blending Gothic Revival tradition with modern industrial force. Son of architect George Gilbert Scott and the grandson of architect Sir George Gilbert Scott, he designed more English Heritage Listed structures than any other architect in England. While his designs defined the visual identity of 20th-century, he is best known for designing the Liverpool Cathedral, Cambridge University Library, New Bodleian Library expansion in Oxford and the iconic English Telephone Kiosk. His Battersea Power Station has been popularized in film, rock album covers and comedy sketches. - AsNotedIn
