Eli Pepper was an early Delaware brick-maker. The Pepper family owned a brick kiln along present E Trap Pond Rd (Delaware Rd 62) between Substation Rd and Whaleys Corner Rd. The kiln was about one-half mile from another Pepper Family home, now know as the Asbury Copes Pepper
