Cobbled-Stone Street, Luiz I Bridge and Sardines
Ribeira is the historic riverside quarter of Porto, Portugal, along the banks of the Douro River. It is known for its narrow cobbled streets, colorful historic buildings, small bars, and restaurants serving traditional Portuguese dishes such as grilled sardines. The neighborhood lies beside the riverfront promenade and is one of Porto's most visited areas. Much of Ribeira is included within the UNESCO-listed Historic Centre of Porto and is closely associated with landmarks such as the Dom Luis I Bridge and the city's waterfront character. The district also extends east of the Funicular dos Guindais, where a portion of Ribeira lies outside the boundaries of the UNESCO-listed historic center. - AsNotedIn
