The Church of Saint Christophe in Cunel, France, is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival church. A first church was built in 1833, replaced in 1878 by the present structure. Damaged during the Great War, the building was rebuilt in the 1920s, restoring its simple rural massing. During this renovation, painted decorations were added by the Italian artist Duilio Donzelli, including interior motifs and a statue of Saint Christopher surrounded by medallions depicting various modes of modern transport. - AsNotedIn
