A Really Big Basket, Not a Building

The World's Largest Basket is located at the corner of Fifth and Main Streets in Dresden, Ohio. Recognized by the 1990 Guinness Book of World Records, the 48-foot-long, 23-foot-high container is a replica of a Longaberger Market Basket and was dedicated in 1980 as a tribute to the handcrafted basket-making tradition of The Longaberger Company. Constructed from ten hardwood maple trees and requiring approximately 2,000 employee hours to complete, the oversized basket stands as a notable example of novelty architecture and a symbol of the company's prominence in the region. - AsNotedIn
