The Glorietta Bay Inn is a boutique hotel in Coronado, California. Unfortunately, since the proprietors do not respect their guest, they include a self imposed, mandatory, Resort Fee on top of the advertised room rate as if it is a government tax.
The Italian Renaissance central building was originally the home of civic leader John Dietrich Spreckels. The Mansion, which features 11 guest rooms, lobby and Music Room, was restored in 1975. The modern Spreckels Suite on the second floor was John Spreckels' bedroom, living room and sunroom while the next door Sugar Baron Suite was Mrs Spreckels' master suite. On the first floor, the Mansion Suite was formerly a large patio near the tea gardens and the butler's pantry and the Spreckels' library with a fireplace has also been converted into a guestroom. - AsNotedIn
