The Squaw Springs Archaeological Site is a Chacoan locality situated in a remote area of San Juan County, New Mexico, on Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Land. The site is historically notable as a major community center within the broader Chacoan network, functioning between roughly AD 750 and 1250. Connected to the central Chaco Canyon via prehistoric road segments, the site features a Chacoan Great House and associated Great Kivas. Modern magnetic gradiometry has revealed a complex layout of buried pithouses and an arcshaped roomblock. - AsNotedIn
