Ebenezer Clough

  • Province of Massachusetts Bay

Ebenezer Clough was a master bricklayer in early-18th-century Boston, Massachusetts, who contributed to two of the city's oldest surviving structures. In 1715 he raises his own brick row house — rare for its period — and three decades later helps lay more than half a million Medford bricks for Christ Church, the Old North sanctuary whose English-bond walls still anchor the North End skyline. - AsNotedIn
