James Adams
Plymouth Colony
James Adams was born in Plymouth to John Adams III and Eleanor Newton. His life intersected both the Adams line descending from John Adams of Barton St David, Somerset and, through his mother's remarriage, the Winslow family of MAYFLOWER fame. Records show him active in the 1650s through contracts with Nicholas Ware and a Barbados land reference, correcting earlier claims that he died in 1651 aboard the James of London. His death year of 1667 follows Torrey's New England Marriages Prior to 1700. - AsNotedIn
