Capt Nathaniel White Sr

  • Connecticut Colony

In the early years of the eighteenth century, Captain Nathaniel White, son unto Ensign Daniel White and Susannah Mould, dwelleth upon the fertile lands of Middletown in the Connecticut Colony. A man of substance and good repute, he taketh to wife Mehitable Hurlbut, and their household prospereth along the river's edge. In his later years he setteth down his will with careful hand, dividing his goods, lands, and livestock among his sons and daughters, as is the custom of orderly families in New England. Upon his death in 1743, he is laid to rest in the burying ground at Portland, where his stone yet witnesseth the long continuance of the White name in the valley. - AsNotedIn
