Benajah Adams
Connecticut Colony
Born in Pomfret in 1720, Benajah Adams came of age within the Connecticut Colony, the son of John Adams and Esther Cady. A farmer and family man, he married Hannah Clough and raised five children before his early death at thirty-two. Though his burial place is unrecorded, his memorial preserves his link to the Adams-Cady line that helped shape early Pomfret. - AsNotedIn
