Daniel D White

  • Connecticut Colony

Daniel D White was a member of the early White family of Middletown in the Connecticut Colony, born to Capt Nathaniel White and Elisabeth White. In 1683 he marries Susannah Mould, daughter of shipbuilder Hugh Mould and Martha Coit, linking two prominent colonial households. The couple raises a large family whose descendants include several deacons, militia captains, and community leaders in the Middletown-Cromwell area. White lived his entire life within the growing river-valley settlement and is buried in the Old Burying Ground at Cromwell, where his stone marks one of the older graves in the cemetery. - AsNotedIn
